This is to Catherine Linda Michel who stated that the letter "I" is always captilaized under 'all' cercumstances. I wish to prove you wrong. Tell me how you would demonstrate to little John who is working on his letters. John approaches the teachers desk with his spelling book in hand. Giving the teacher his book she goes over his writing. As she goes through the book she comments on his printing errors. She complements him on his mastering the letter B as with the little b. She points out that the capital letter C needs to be a little larger as it seems to be about the same size as the small c. As she progresses through his book she comes to the letter I. She points out that the capital I is nice but there is something missing from the smaller i. As she is looking at it she asks John if he knows whats missing? He stares at his writing book and starts to put little hearts over the smaller i. Asked why he was doing that John says that's what his mommy does when she writes I love you notes to his daddy. Now tell me how would you explain the smaller letter i if it was capitalized as you said it should be?
