| Returning briefly to the subject of our favorite little-girl comic book heroines of the '50s...Did anyone ever notice that the legs of Little Audrey, Little Dot, Richie Rich's Gloria, and, of course, Little Lotta, were drawn abnormally thick as compared to the size of their bodily frames? (Of course, they were almost always visible, as the girls almost always wore skirts or dresses.) Since those years, I've wondered why. As I've wondered how Lotta was able to obtain the clothes she needed, especially the gigantic panties and socks. Not to mention how she would have managed her monthly period. But that's another thought for another time. |
