The word rape is in the form of a question, and I have to agree with you Lila that the word should be used for certain acts and not all encompassing. That was kind of my point. Yes, what happened sucked, but, as I stated in the last line, I wouldn't consider it rape. Assault might be the closest definition that happens. Now, I wouldn't only include penetration in the definition of rape. But, I have heard people who have been patted on the ass or had their boobs touch refer to the incident as rape and play the victim. I also have heard people who were molested as a child refer to their molestation as a rape and though I agree both groups have been violated, rape is not the correct word and only supports a victim mentality. I wrote this story, which is a true tale, to start a discussion about the words that we use. What images do the word rape bring to mind and by using words out of context what are you trying to accomplish. When a person sees rape in the title, what do they expect to see? What other stories, even though they don't say the word rape, are nothing more than rape fantasies? It's a lot to think about, but sometimes thinking is important. |

(curtsey) Hello there! This story has a real-feeling unique point of view concerning inner reluctance that spoke to me. In addition the lady who is going to train the protagonist is especially strict and no-nonsense. All in all I liked the flavor of this story and I hope the writer continues so we can see how the situation develops.I just wonder how many whippings it'd take to get me into shape! :)Candy S. |
