Apparently a more-common practice and fantasy than I had thought. Nicely written, and it's good that the narrator (and presumably the author) finds that being a pretty young woman is not a guarantee of instant and permanent orgiastic bliss, although it might well be more pleasant than being a middle-aged man...

This story/bio resonated powerfully w/ me. As another 6'2 (195-200lbs) male, I SO get the longing to be the woman I (perhaps I should say WE)dream/fantasize/LONG to be. Perhaps the most meaningful thing I could say would be to simply tell the truth. If my longings were made real I'd be Diana. All of 5'5 and 125-130lbs soaking wet. Auburn haired, deep green eyes a guy or gal could get lost in and silky-soft skin so fair I'd cook lobster-red in 15 minutes flat at the beach! (38-23-38,(C or D) if you were wondering..and yes, I'd HAPPILY be a walking cliche!) It took courage for you to write it first, even here. I applaud you for that! I just hope/pray/wish that one of these days Science bothers to get around to making the advances necessary to create indistinguishable-from-natal women out of the bodies of the poor bastards like us. It will remain a source of lifelong regret (I'm in my mid-30s now) that such an advance will not arrive in time to help people like me. Like US! I'd give an eye and half my remaining years just to experience the man/woman I love holding my long red hair for me while I was violently, unpleasantly, messily morning-sick! There's something so intrinsically beautiful about a beautiful woman carrying a child created in love. That the realization such dreams will remain forever beyond the grasp of those of us who long for the experience ::sighs:: is still the bitterest of pills to swallow :(

Dream Weaver 1, The Well     Details
It is one of the marks of an excellent author to be able to take a setting that seems to have been covered thoroughly, then find an original and interesting aspect. Tigger did this with the original Seasons concept by making nasty ol' Aunt Jane into a real person. Now, he's found something that baffles even Jane, despite her years of turning bad boys into good men through a transition as sweet girls. Even if it were just for the originality of this story, it would be worth reading. But it is a lot more than merely original. The conflict will reach your heart, the puzzle will stimulate your mind, the people are brought to life so clearly you would recognize them if you passed them on the street. This is a great story, on all the levels that a story needs to be. Do yourself a favor and enjoy it. You might even learn something, about people and about yourself.
