| A Room For The Winter Details |
| This story started out slow...really slow. There's not a lot of talking, and most of the text is just going over how miserable William is. I wasn't impressed at first, and I thought this was going to be another one of those lackluster stories where the unhappy guy finds his "true" self in the body of another woman. Well, it's not far off from that, but everything was handled with such detail that it was hard not to be impressed at all the character development that goes on in this story. I guess what I'm trying to say is that this story grew on me. After about half-way through, it started picking up. Sandra and Jenny had a wonderful time, and it really showed how fun being a girl really can be. I liked how everything was kept innocent. It just goes to show that somebody can write a good TG story without having a gritty sex scene every four paragraphs. I also think it was nice how Jenny turned William's life around the way she did. I think this is probably what would happen if a girl could swap with a guy. Most guys are so insecure and don't really know what women like. It's very true that a woman could do better with a guy's body than a guy! I think Jenny's life was kept pretty realistic too. I think that her father's government job kept them moving from town to town. I know from experience how frustrating it is to grow up and not be able to keep friends. I wasn't surprised that Jenny wanted to get out of her situation. What I mean is that most girls aren't willing to do a body swap with a guy, but Jenny had a plausible reason to switch with William. I liked that. The story also showed that being in Jenny's body wasn't a bed of roses either. She had to move with her father, and she had to live with having periods. That part was really handled well. So, what I'm trying to say is that this is a really good story. I would like to think that, if it could really happen, most body swaps would turn out like Jenny and William did. If you call yourself a fan of transgender fiction, you owe it to yourself to read this story. Leviathan |
