| The first point is, a good author is a good author..and Morpheus is a great one. He writes in many different froms and variations. I get the impression, his muse has been guided toward the fantasy and sci-fi in recent months. Which is cool. Most of his work is made up of stories done well and told well. This story is no exception. It is a wonderful fantasy realm story, told well. His earlier works, THE EXCALIBUR PRINCIPLE..show he has both an interest and a grasp on this style of story. The TG elements were almost and I dare say, are 2nd to the fantasy storyline. Which is ok, this is a good story, well told. A welcome break from the run of the mill, such as.."..Jim looked down to see what had to be 54F boobs bursting out on his chest..".. Now that is not very interesting. But Morpheus often writes about family mix ups and role changes in families. Examples are Aunt EM and Reversal Rings, both outstanding. I really like his stories where children become the parents and vice versa. He takes us inside the heads of his players and lets us see what makes them tick, and that is very cool and very sexy. I always read a story with Morpheus's name on it,,and I always look forward to more of his work. By the way, Thru the Gate, is a great story along the lines I just mentioned, and Other side of the Coin, just begs for a follow up story. Write on..Write on.. |
