| I liked this one. I've seen the general idea before though (the movie "Being John Malcovich" for example and there was also another TG story on Old Joe's TG archive somewhere that had a tunnel change too), but this was done to perfection I think. I liked how it was approached a little at a time (at first) instead of rushing right into the change. Being able to bring back something from the alternate universe intact was also an interesting idea. I wonder though if such a tunnel existed, wouldn't the store owners eventually find out and wall it off to keep it for themselves? Or maybe the government would somehow find out and try to confiscate it? Maybe the store falls on hard times and has to close, or changes owners and through remodeling the place, Room 6 is torn down. Lots of possibilities here. The effect could also be maybe a side-effect of some secret project someplace else, but when the scientists of that project find out it doesn't work (i.e. the "door" isn't found where they expect it), then they shut down the project. Hmmm.... Too many ideas now. Well, good luck on finishing. :) |

| I really liked this story and I am surprized there are not more comments. I read it off the tg list and perhaps many of the comments an author would hope for went directly to Eric. As always, a highly literate and fun story that reminded me of Eric's boarding school story. A good theme here and worth using over and over. Its hard to appreciate your own life until somebody else has it. Thanks. The Rebel |
