| I also like this story. It strikes very close to home, or at least to what home might have been like if I could revisit that fork in the road. Sic transit. People criticizing you for having someone edit it are way off base. Ignore them. Every good professional writer has an editor. Why single out this genre for different treatment? If someone can catch the repeated misspelling of "staring" as "starring" and its ilk then do it. The story would read a lot better without such needlessly distracting errors but they're a sideshow of easily corrected details. The story is fundamentally sound, engaging, and not at all implausible. I also think it reflects considerable insight into the trannie condition. Well done! That said, the dream sequence needs some work. As written it seems too close to the reality narrative ... way too real to be a dream, at least for my tastes. Also, is Rachel that pretty that she passes so well right from the get-go? I'd like to see her fleshed-out a little more. She could be a little rough around the edges and still turn heads. Lots of girls do. And it leaves room for improvement. Must she protest so much every time someone opens a door for her true subconscious fantasy? It's getting a little tiresome. And to what extent is Rachel autobiographical? Most of these stories reflect the author's private fantasies which in turn reflect to some degree and in some way their actual lives. Come on, 'fess up. Inquiring minds want to know. |

| This story is a great one. I have printed the text and read it ten times or more, I don't know. This evening, I will read it one more time. The beginning of the story, the transformation, the feeling of Altan, the words pronounced by the warlord are very credible and exiting. After that, the first part of the story is very fascinating, but for personnal tastes, I do prefer the second part : less sex, more social humiliation, and very feminine but more simple clothes - I like simplicity. The I prefer imagine Altan in his simple green silk dress than in much complicate garnment. Poor Altan... Poor "pretty little thing". I dream of his weakness, beauty and feminity. Thank You, Mr PaulK. Maybe one day you will give us another story ? Maybe ? |
