| The suits must break the laws of physics as we know them: even a big husky weighs only 60 pounds. I'm okay with that. No ordinary guy, and probably not even a skinny runt, could put on a woman suit and become a compelling realistic -- let alone beautiful -- young woman without conservation of mass taking a drubbing. And, sadly, being able to do just that is one of my own fantasies: I'd love to be able to put on a girl suit and swiftly and reversibly lose a foot of height and half my weight and spend time as a cute little thing who couldn't possibly be a guy in drag. Sometimes reality just sucks. The writing is solid, and sometimes you just have to throw out quibbles like physics and go straight on, running off sheer chutzpah: it can work quite well, and I'd say that it has with this story. The whole spy shtick here seems a bit tongue in cheek, but not quite enough to be reliably funny, and that's my only real criticism. |

| A pretty good story marred by an abrupt and predictable ending. 'Jezzi' had a good suggestion ( have John be innocent so the punishment has no purpose ). Another idea; John is a clandestine cross-dresser because of guilt / shame ( MEN don't DO that!! ) and the very real possibility that Carol would leave him if he told her. This gives us a reason for John's ( from Carol's view- point ) suspicious behavior and makes the 'punishment' a means to strengthen their relationship. |
