| Dear Pamela: This is a superb, exquisitely plotted story. I am enjoying its subtle progressio and the many clever uses of dialogue and innuendo all the way. With other readers, I am so eager for you to keep it unfolding faster (in real time --the pace within the story is perfect), but I also love the way you elaborate on small and larger incidents, as Greg inexorably is both seduced and finds himself anxiously responsive to the impending feminizing 'opportunities' which Charlotte's world offers. I particularly am touched, and reminded of my own childish defensiveness, by Greg's tangled 'logic' pro and con wearing girls' clothes, and the ways that the women adroitly, but with seeming directness, are eroding his resistance. He rationalizes doing domestic chores easily, but around dressing and feeling girlish he's heading for more serious crises. We love it; it's very special. Thank you !! Tina B. |

| I really have nothing new to add to what the other reviewers have said. I agree with Tigger that the length of the story is probably responsible for the dearth of reviews. It took me several evenings to finish the tale. I also noticed the occasssional ommission of a line of more of text; while it did not destroy the story, it was disconcerting. Overall, I enjoyed the story; Ally and her friends are real people, and make you care about them, from Ally's 'addiction' to Diet Coke to William's stiff necked and barely disguised homophobia. It make me keep reading. Like Tigger, I enjoyued the 'lights out' sexual scenes, leaving it up to the reader's imagination. And finally, the ending was a very nice surprise, though, when I read back through some of the earlier dialogue, the clues were there. Congratulations, JulieO, a very good story. Renegade |
