| Altered Fates: The Titanic Details |
| "A short but cute story..." CUTE! This story is anything but cute; it is a horror story. I'd say he should call DCFS, but in this story where a "best friend since childhood" is a willing and eagar participant in the humiliatiom and degradation of her friend, DCFS was probably the agency that advised his mom to feminize him. Better he quietly stabs all the women of the family to death in the middle of the night and then goes stalking Millie. |

| The story seemed a bit erratic and not smoothly joined. I still enjoyed it. I found his widow's sudden luxury to be tasteless on her part. People who have problems with associations with 9/11 should bear in mind that there are unending events throughout the history of humanity, as a group and as individuals, that harbour as much or more meaning to them than does 9/11. One might consider all those who served in the military, giving up their bodies, minds and souls, to be treated as trash and then finding themselves at the beck and call to sacrifice their lives for a man who, hates them and who slunk from his country so to escape what he demands of them. Does this not show disrespect to all men and women who sacrificed so much to preserve a country who mocks them and their sacrifices. That is disrespect. Level a McDonalds because there was a killing there; then perhaps level America for all the killing of the Native American. Give the widow of some brave firefighter a million dollars, give the widow of some brave soldier eight hundred dollars. Well, I have said too much, and always wear flats on a soapbox. |

| I generally like this story, its very imaginative, and presents us with a different take on the 'partial transformation'. However... As a reader, I'm finding myself frustrated by the shortness of each of these chapters. It would be nice if each chapter dealt with more than one or two scenes. Oh, and by the way, the story needs to move beyond him freaking out all over the place, and running around looking for the old man...just a thought! - Paula |
